Matches locations phonetically similar to the search text.
This feature matches locations names that are spelled incorrectly or written in a different language with a similar spelling. The implementation is a variation of a phonetic algorithm called the Double Metaphone. Additionally the Metaphone keys are compared using the Levenshtein distance which is a number of operations required to permute one word into another. In short this means that the keys may vary to a defined degree resulting in broader location matching.
Maximum Levenshtein distances in location, zone, zone and district searches defined in LocationSearch.
